In celebration of Malaysia’s National Day on 31 August and to foster cultural exchange between Macau and Malaysia, SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) recently unveiled the “Malaysia National Day Celebration: A Gastronomic Journey Across the Nation” at The Grand Buffet in Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau.
Melco Resorts & Entertainment has achieved a double win at the prestigious Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Gold Awards 2026, receiving honors in both the “Marketing Campaign – Hospitality” category for the fourth consecutive year, and the “Climate Action Initiative (Industry)”.
Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) continued to promote a family-friendly workplace through a wide range of initiatives. This summer, GEG launched the “GEG Family Cares Summer Program,” which invited team members and their children to Galaxy Macau integrated resort. The program drew about 300 participants.
MGM has set new participation records again, this time for its “9th MGM Golden Lion Summer Camp,” which gathered more than 200 students aged 14 to 18 from 41 local secondary schools, helping broaden their horizons outside the classroom and enhance their understanding of national development and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area.
In alignment with the Macao SAR Government’s policy of building Macau through talent development, SJM Resorts, S.A. (SJM) and the Macao University of Tourism (UTM) jointly introduced the “SJM Forge My Own Journey” Development Programme in 2025, with the Labour Affairs Bureau and the Education and Youth Development Bureau as supporting units.
As part of the Tokyo Art Festival series, the “2026 International Children’s Art Exhibition” opened on 16 August at the Fuchu Art Museum in Tokyo. The exhibition brings together over 120 outstanding paintings from children around the world, including 40 works from Macau.
In support of International Special Olympics Day, Sands China Ltd. recently joined hands with Macau Special Olympics and the Macau Medical and Health Federation to co-organize the “2026 Special Olympics Community – Healthy Athletes Programme” at Saint Paul School Macau. The program provides professional health assessment services, offering practical support and care to individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families.
Jointly organized by Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) and the Macau Management Association, the GEG Youth Achievement Program (YAP) has attracted more than 3,600 participants to‑date. Under the theme “Cultural Heritage, Careers Set Sail,” the 15th YAP rolled out a series of intangible cultural heritage workshops, cultural seminars, exhibition visits and study tours, to broaden participants’ cultural horizons and enhance their professional competence.
