Wynn launches Educational Tour program to enrich Macau’s tourism offerings through study opportunities

Macau concessionaire Wynn Resorts (Macau), S.A., has launched the “Wynn Educational Tour” program, with the initiative to bolster Macau’s “tourism + education” initiative with high-quality educational tourism products. The company hopes to train more qualified talent for the hospitality industry through the program, while supporting the diversified development of Macau’s tourism industry, actively transforming Macao into a popular destination for educational tours.

Wynn revealed that the program is designed for students in China and overseas to embark on an educational journey that integrates study tours, real-life experiences, academic exchanges and cultural exploration. Led by Wynn’s professional team, students will gain insights into Wynn’s resorts in Macau, while also gaining an in-depth understanding of hotel operations, learning first-hand how different hotel departments work with one another.

The program includes professional seminars, where Wynn management teams will share their insights on hospitality trends, developments and the industry’s future to provide academic exchange opportunities for students to gain a deeper understanding of industry opportunities and prospects.

Ma U Leng, Head of the Organizational Planning and Development Department of the MGTO, stated that the educational tour is “a combination of tourism and learning activities, which is a key development direction for the Macau tourism market and has great potential for growth.

“The Wynn Educational Tour project shows that the industry is actively promoting the transformation of non-gaming elements into study tour products and developing unique tourism products and services to offer diverse experiences to visitors.”

In a significant collaboration, Wynn signed an MOU with the Department of Tourism at Fudan University, marking Fudan as the very first university to partner with Wynn in advancing this educational travel initiative.
