Melco recently served as the venue sponsor for the “Responsible Gambling Promotion 2025 – Seeking Help for Winning the Future” Kick-off Ceremony, highlighting its commitment to corporate social responsibility and promoting a culture of responsible gaming in Macau.
The event was co-organized by the Social Welfare Bureau, Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) and the University of Macau’s Institute for the Study of Commercial Gaming. Melco said it aims to further strengthen government-enterprise collaboration and advance responsible gaming education.
Held on 17 July at Studio City’s Dolby Cinema, the event kicked off a series of initiatives running from July to December. In collaboration with gaming operators and support organizations, these efforts focus on raising awareness among youth and the public about gambling disorders, promoting responsible gaming practices and encouraging those in need to seek help early.
Melco said that the company will continue to uphold its commitment to responsible gaming and care for the Macau community, working together with guests, colleagues and all sectors of society to promote a culture of responsible gaming.
Melco noted that it is the first integrated resort operator across Macau, the Philippines and Europe to have all its properties accredited with the “RG Check” certification – widely recognized as the world’s most comprehensive and rigorous responsible gaming accreditation program.
In its annual Responsible Gaming Report, Melco stated its commitment to developing and maintaining a culture of responsible gaming, organizing programs that go above and beyond mandated regulatory requirements and industry-leading technology.
The company’s Global Responsible Gaming Steering Committee is led from the top. The Committee provides strategic direction for all annual RG initiatives which are based around the Macao SAR Government’s “Seeking Help for Winning the Future” promotional campaign.
