Wynn boosts China-Portugal cooperation by hosting colloquium on Portuguese-speaking countries

The “Colloquium on Infrastructure Investment and Construction between China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries” was held in Macau from 5 to 19 June, attracting officials and professionals from several Portuguese-speaking countries.

During this significant international exchange event, Wynn demonstrated its corporate social responsibility and commitment, actively promoting Macau’s role as a core platform for trade and economic cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries. The event saw Wynn host colloquium participants and share its sustainable development concepts and practices.

The colloquium was organized by the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) and hosted by Macau City University. It attracted 16 officials, technical experts and senior executives from Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, São Tomé and Príncipe, East Timor and Macau. The two-week colloquium featured a rich agenda focused on in-depth exchanges regarding infrastructure development and sustainable growth.

Wynn demonstrates sustainable development through action
As a landmark enterprise in Macau, Wynn welcomed participants of the colloquium on 12 June and showcased the group’s core initiatives in sustainable operations. During the event, Wynn shared practical examples of how it has achieved a development model that balances environmental and economic benefits through innovative technology and efficient management.

Participants gained an in-depth understanding of Wynn’s various sustainability initiatives, including the “Winnow Vision” system, which uses artificial intelligence for precise food waste management, reducing food waste and promoting resource efficiency, and the “Nordaq 2000 automated water refilling system”, which aims to reduce single-use plastic usage and inject technological innovation into environmental protection.

Wynn welcomed colloquium participants and presented the Group’s sustainable development achievements.

Additionally, Wynn introduced its comprehensive waste management logistics, which covers recycling and food waste treatment to achieve resource recycling and reduce environmental impact.

During the visit, participants shared their countries’ practical experiences in infrastructure construction and sustainable development with Wynn. The two-way communication brought extremely valuable insights to the group and provided food for thought and inspiration for its future strategies in the field of sustainable development, Wynn explained.

Intensifying cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries
The successful hosting of this colloquium has further enhanced Portuguese-speaking countries’ understanding of infrastructure development in mainland China and Macau while deepening Macau’s role as an important platform for trade and services between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.

Wynn’s active participation and support have built a more robust bridge for cooperation between China, Macau and Portuguese-speaking countries in the infrastructure sector, once again highlighting the critical role of enterprises in promoting socio-economic sustainable development.

Looking ahead, Wynn said it will continue to drive innovation and social responsibility to support Macau’s role as a platform in China-Portugal cooperation. Wynn added that it looks forward to collaborating with various partners in the future to jointly promote high-quality infrastructure development and sustainable growth.
