To mark its 15th anniversary, the Wynn Employee (WE) Volunteer Team recently held a sharing session themed “Neighborly Support and Community Care”. Several distinguished guests were invited to share their community service experiences, enhancing volunteer service standards to benefit more communities. The event attracted over 600 team members, further inspiring more individuals to engage in public welfare.
The event welcomed distinguished guests including Mr Huang Huagai, Deputy Secretary-General and Director of the Department of Social Affairs of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR; Mr Chan Ka Leong, Director-General of the General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macau (UGAMM); and Ms Linda Chen, President, Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Wynn Macau, Limited and President of Wynn Care Foundation.
During the sharing session, Chan delivered a presentation titled “Neighborly Support and Community Care,” sharing the Federation’s years of practical experience in community service and emphasizing the vital role of grassroots efforts in building harmonious communities. Chen subsequently presented him with a commemorative certificate, expressing gratitude for his detailed insights into community service.
To commemorate its 15th anniversary, the Wynn Volunteers Team organized a series of activities. These included inviting UGAMM to set up promotional booths at Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace, and introducing elderly services such as the “Peng On Tung” tele-assistance service and assistive device support. Furthermore, between July and September, the volunteer team participated in diverse themed workshops at the UGAMM Ngai Chon Center, covering yoga, parent-child cooking sessions and eco-friendly workshops. These sessions attracted over 2,000 participants, further advancing the development of a harmonious community.
Established in 2010, the WE Volunteer Team has consistently upheld the principles of giving back to society and spreading care. This 15th-anniversary event aimed to promote the spirit of mutual assistance, enhance the quality of volunteer services and foster social exchange and learning.
