Wynn continues to support social welfare initiatives through tangible actions, extending care to local underprivileged and grassroots families. This year, Wynn has once again donated MOP 300,000 to the Welfare Shop Project of Macau Holy House of Mercy (SCMM). Additionally, food parcels were distributed to 375 underprivileged families from organizations including the General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macau, Macau Federation of Trade Unions, Association of Parents of the People with Intellectual Disabilities of Macau and more, upholding the spirit of community care.
This marks the 13th consecutive year Wynn has participated in this meaningful charitable initiative. At the donation ceremony, Linda Chen, President, Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Wynn Macau, Limited, presented the donation cheque to António José de Freitas, President of the Board of Trustees of SCMM.
Distinguished guests in attendance included Ms Ng Sio Lai, President of the General Union of Neighborhood Associations of Macau; Mr Leong Wai Fong, Vice President and Secretary General of the Macau Federation of Trade Unions; Ms Gisela Nunes, Secretary General of SCMM; Ms Jasmine Cheong, Vice President of Community and Government Relations of Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace; and Mr Thomas Lau, Vice President of Human Resources of Wynn.
Additionally, approximately 40 Wynn volunteers were present to assist in distributing food baskets, delivering essential daily provisions such as rice, noodles, tinned goods and cooking oil to underprivileged families in the hope of providing tangible support amid the pressures of daily living.
Since its establishment in 2013, the Welfare Shop Project of SCMM has been dedicated to providing short-term food assistance to residents facing financial hardship. Since the program’s inception, Wynn has served as a long-term partner, supporting the shop’s operations through donations and material contributions. This collaboration promotes the values of mutual support and social inclusion.
