Melco volunteers take part in activities through “Simple Acts of Kindness” initiative during CNY

  • Melco spread warmth and care to over 1,200 beneficiaries in the local community during Chinese New Year through its “Simple Acts of Kindness” initiative.
  • Melco events aimed to actively engage with the community’s children, women, elderly and persons with disabilities.

Melco Resorts & Entertainment launched nearly 30 volunteer activities during Chinese New Year , spreading festive warmth and care to over 1,200 beneficiaries in the local community through its “Simple Acts of Kindness” initiative. Working in collaboration with Melco’s community partners, the events aimed to actively engage with the community’s children, women, elderly and persons with disabilities.

Highlight events included a visit to Pou Tai Integrated Service Center for the Elderly, where Melco volunteers were joined by Raymond Lo, Senior Vice President, Head of Global Marketing & General Manager of Altira and Mocha Clubs, and other management team colleagues. The team welcomed the Chinese New Year of the Horse with the residents, playing games and delivering souvenirs amid a warm and joyful atmosphere.

Melco volunteer Michael Chiu, Director, Gaming Administration and Slots Operations, said, “Dressing as the God of Fortune to deliver gifts to residents of the Pou Tai Integrated Service Center has been a heart-warming highlight of my Chinese New Year celebrations, and I hope the residents have all enjoyed a delightful afternoon with us. We are proud to join the Melco Volunteer team today in sharing laughter and festive blessings with our elders.”

Melco encouraged its volunteers to participate in Lunar New Year activities with their children as part of the company’s “Teaching Children Values” program, which aims to foster a spirit of service and community responsibility in the younger generation.

Other highlights included a movie session at Studio City Cinema with community partners and joint celebrations of Chinese New Year and Women’s Day with The Women’s General Association of Macau and residents of Asilo Vila Madalena.
