Amid the excitement, Ho took the stage and delivered his speech, stating, “At Melco, we have never relied on replicating the past to win the future. From developing City of Dreams and creating House of Dancing Water to building Morpheus, every one of our major counter-cyclical investments has been built on absolute confidence in Macau’s transformation and in a new generation of luxury travellers.
“Luxury is no longer defined by material indulgence alone. The new generation of trailblazing travelers seeks absolute control over their own rhythm, uncompromising privacy and a profound sensory awakening. REM is our avant-garde answer to this shift.”
“It is not merely another boundary-breaking move by Melco in Macau, but a crucial step in helping propel this city from a single-purpose destination into a dynamic, exclusive and culturally immersive destination of infinite possibilities. This is the vision that has always guided us: to disrupt convention through relentless innovation and to keep reinventing our integrated resorts so that we stay ahead and continue inspiring, generation after generation.”

Under the spotlight of all present, Ho alongside President and Board Director of Melco Resorts & Entertainment Evan Winkler, President of City of Dreams Macau Tim Kelly as well as Jing Boran and Tan Yuan Yuan joined together on stage for the opening activation and officially unveiled REM.
Next, celebrity guests gathered on center stage to piece together a puzzle revealing the penthouse suite, The Lair – REM’s ultimate expression. As the completed image of The Lair was revealed, the atmosphere instantly reached a thrilling crescendo, marking the most spectacular highlight of the evening.
With the excitement of the ceremony still lingering, an exclusive pool party ignited the night, extending the energy of the celebration. Shimmering reflections danced across the water against the lines of REM’s avant-garde architecture as guests raised their glasses in toast.
Amid the interplay of light and water, this chic oasis above the city was transformed into an exclusive playground for the night. It was a vivid embodiment of “Shake You Awake” at REM.
World-class beatboxer and performance artist SKY WINCHESTER then took the stage, shivering the night with his dynamic vocal rhythms. His intricate beats collided with electronic soundscapes to create a distinctive auditory experience, quickly elevating the party atmosphere to the height of trend setting energy.

As the party reached its finale, Grammy Award-winning DJ and EDM powerhouse Afrojack made an appearance, sweeping across the venue with his electrifying beats.
