Following the successful launch of last year’s popular “Illuminarium”, Wynn has recently combined creative arts with classic symphony to create an exciting, multi-sensory musical experience for visitors named “MUSIC IN LIGHT”.
“MUSIC IN LIGHT” is the latest in a series of immersive personified experiences held at Illuminarium, which breaks through the barriers of classical music and transcends the boundaries of a traditional stage by using the world’s most innovative and modern digital art techniques to vividly showcase the masterpieces of world-renowned composers such as Mozart, Vivaldi, Brahms and Strauss.
The preparation for this project began a year ago and was accomplished by the production company RadicalMedia in collaboration with top global teams.
The visual techniques featured in “MUSIC IN LIGHT” are a combination of cinematic in-camera effects, lasers and 2D/3D animation. Audiences are immersed in dynamic images through over 185 million pixels in full 8K, filmed under special lenses called Macro Diopters that create a visual world unique to each piece, which interact with the four walls and the floor of Illuminarium. World-class Hollywood sound engineers have mixed the audio for this show so that it envelops the audience completely through HOLOPLOT, one of the most advanced sound systems in the world, to complete the 360-degree immersive experience.
Ms Linda Chen, President, Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Wynn Macau, Limited, said, “ ‘MUSIC IN LIGHT’ subverts the traditional stage performance with a symphony theme, providing an innovative experience for the audience”. At the same time, the project’s educational elements will inspire the public in music, technology and diverse artistic works. We hope that the humanistic qualities bring new quality productive forces to the tourism industry in Macau to attract tourists from around the world with different interests, and allow them to experience the charm of Macau as the World Center of Tourism and Leisure.”
The Illuminarium at Wynn Palace is open Tuesday to Sunday from 1pm to 9pm. The first entry time for the “MUSIC IN LIGHT” segment is 6:30pm, with the last entry at 8pm.
