Wynn executive Michael Gou delivers keynote speech at 2024 “Zhuhai-Macao Tourism Lecture Series”

The 2024 “Zhuhai-Macao Tourism Lecture Series”, guided by the Zhuhai Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau and jointly organized by the Zhuhai Tourism Federation and Tourism Education and Training Base for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area IFTM, was recently held at the Nanhai Oil Hotel in Zhuhai. The event, which was also co-organized by Zhuhai South Human Resources Service Co, Ltd and Nanhai Oil Hotel, saw the participation of over 80 industry professionals from Zhuhai’s hotels, scenic spots, travel agencies and tourist homestays.

Michael Gou, Vice President of Digital Strategy and Partnerships of Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace, and who boasts 16 years of marketing experience, was invited to attend the event. He delivered a keynote speech titled “Opportunities and Challenges in Marketing for High-End Leisure Enterprises”.

Using Wynn Macau as a case study, Mr Gou analyzed corporate brand building, membership services, and market positioning and marketing strategies. He effectively explained concepts such as the importance of product quality and personalized services, the value of positive word-of-mouth over traditional advertising, the effectiveness of precise membership services in increasing repeat purchase rates, and the need for human-centric smart construction.

He also provided insights into the new generation of customers, the current state and development trends of leisure tourism enterprises, and the marketing challenges faced by tourism enterprises in the Greater Bay Area. Mr Gou’s views and content generated great interest among the attendees, leading to a lively question-and-answer session after his speech.

The organizers said the event aimed to promote exchanges between the tourism industries of Zhuhai and Macau, jointly advancing regional tourism cooperation.
