Melco wins 10 honors at Macao Integrated Tourism and Leisure Enterprise Vocational Skills Competition 2024

Melco Resorts & Entertainment recently won 10 honors at the “6th Macao Integrated Tourism and Leisure Enterprise Vocational Skills Competition 2024”. The company said that this achievement underscores its ongoing commitment to developing local talent.

A 26-member Melco team achieved several successes in various categories of the competition. In the “Gaming and Entertainment Vocational Skills Competition” sector, they secured Second Runner-Up in Chipping, Runner-Up in Card Rules and a Special Gold in the Service sector.

In the “Gastronomy Vocational Skills Competition” the team secured Gold, Best Designated Dim Sum and Judge’s Choice Award in the Chinese Cuisine sector, and the Table Setting Efficiency Award and Special Gold in the Western Service sector.

In the Hotel Services Vocational Skills Competition” they received a Special Gold award in Housekeeping and Silver in Property Services.

The competition, jointly organized by the Labour Affairs Bureau and the Macau Federation of Trade Unions, aims to showcase the skills of integrated resort practitioners to enhance professional quality. The three main categories highlight the importance of training high-quality, skilled professionals for Macau’s development as a world tourism and leisure center.
