- Wynn has opened the EliteKinesio Medical Centre at The Spa at Wynn Palace to boost Macau’s Big Health industry.
- It is the first medical center in Macau to be located within a spa and provides a range of physical therapy treatments.
Wynn announced in August the opening of the EliteKinesio Medical Centre at The Spa at Wynn Palace. This marks Macau’s first medical center located within a spa, with the venue specifically dedicated to providing physical therapy services, and offering guests comprehensive physiotherapy treatments and personalized care plans.
Wynn stated that this initiative supports the Macau SAR Government’s “1+4” moderate diversified development project by expanding “Tourism + Wellness” programs to foster the growth of the Big Health industry.
Co-founded by Wynn and experienced Macau-registered therapist Ms Cary Lam, the new EliteKinesio Medical Centre offers customized treatment plans aimed at alleviating pain, preventing injuries and improving sleep quality. The center also provides tailored exercise programs, including core muscle strengthening and cardiorespiratory fitness.
The center’s services include visceral manipulation, cardio and pulmonary rehabilitation programs. Key offerings encompass musculoskeletal management, treatment for accidents or sports injuries, whole-body fascia balancing, posture correction, movement training and postpartum recovery. All therapies are conducted one-on-one by experienced physical therapists who manage assessments, treatments, training and equipment operation.
In addition, Wynn Palace Spa has introduced a range of new touchless wellness enhancements, including Float Therapy, Red Light Therapy, Vibration and Sound Therapy, and Cryotherapy.
According to Wynn, Float Therapy is a sensory deprivation experience designed for total mind and body relaxation. Guests float in a tank filled with Epsom salt water heated to skin temperature, which helps relieve stress, boost the immune system, improve sleep quality and stimulate creativity.
Red Light Therapy utilizes over 14,000 red and near-infrared LEDs to aid in sports recovery, alleviate joint pain and arthritis, reduce chronic pain and assist in wound healing.
Vibration and Sound Therapy offers a natural binaural vibro-acoustic treatment that simultaneously targets the mind and body, reducing stress and mood swings, enhancing concentration and improving mental well-being.
Cryotherapy, conducted at -85°C, is a cold, non-invasive treatment that accelerates muscle recovery, relieves pain, reduces stress and anxiety, improves sleep, boosts the immune system and increases collagen production.
In June, Wynn partnered with the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Centre for Continuing Education at the University of Macau to host the “Macao SME Training Series – UM x Wynn Macau TCM & Big-Health Industry Study Tour”. The event aimed to deepen public understanding of traditional Chinese medicine and health products, further supporting the Macau SAR Government’s “1+4” moderate diversified development project.
Wynn emphasized its ongoing commitment to providing a broader range of wellness facilities and services for both Macau residents and international visitors, supporting the development of Macau’s Big Health industry and the creation of diversified “Tourism + Wellness” projects.
