The Ceramic Art Digital Exhibition was held at Wynn Palace in December, showcasing the exceptional ceramic craftsmanship of Jingdezhen, often regarded as China’s porcelain capital in Jiangxi province.
The exhibition aims to strengthen cultural and economic ties between Macau, mainland China, and international communities, while promoting the integration of Jingdezhen’s ceramic heritage into the Belt and Road Initiative.
The event features the cultural essence of ceramics and the Silk Road, marking the debut of ceramic digital fingerprints and copyrights for ceramic art. These digital fingerprints are unique, stable and tamper-proof, offering reliable copyright protection for ceramic works. Additionally, the system enables artists to receive fair income from ceramic transactions.
Alongside the exhibition, a gala auction dinner was held at the Wynn Palace Event Marquee. The evening included a lecture on intangible cultural heritage and featured notable ceramic masters sharing their insights on the preservation and innovation of traditional cultural practices.
Linda Chen, President, Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Wynn Macau, expressed her hope that the exhibition would deepen the local community’s appreciation for traditional culture while leaving a lasting impression on visiting tourists. She also highlighted the event’s significance in strengthening Macau’s cultural ties with mainland China, with the shared goal of promoting the preservation and development of Chinese culture.
Chen further emphasized that the exhibition underscores Macau’s role as a Cultural City of East Asia, presenting Jingdezhen’s ceramic artistry on the global stage. She explained that by introducing Jiangxi province and the distinctive charm of Jingdezhen’s ceramic culture to a wider audience, the event seeks to elevate the international recognition and appreciation of Chinese cultural heritage.
