The East Asia Super League (EASL) recently announced that its Final Four 2025 will take place in March at Studio City Macau. This will be the first time the event has been held in the SAR, underscoring the league’s commitment to expanding within the Greater Bay Area (GBA).
According to the announcement, the Final Four will kick off on 7 March, with the competing teams battling it out in the semi-finals. The two winning teams will then face off for the championship title on 9 March. The overall winner will receive a prize of US$1 million, while the runner-up will be awarded US$500,000 and the third place team US$250,000. Tickets will go on sale via Studio City Macau’s official website on 7 February.
EASL CEO Henry Kerins stated that hosting the event in Macau demonstrates how high-quality basketball tournaments can drive economic growth, cultural vibrancy and community engagement. He also emphasized that Macau, with its modern infrastructure and passionate fan base, is the ideal location for such prestigious events.
Kevin Benning, Senior Vice President of Melco and Property General Manager of Studio City, expressed his excitement about collaborating once again with EASL and said he looks forward to continuing their support in enhancing the influence of Asian basketball within the GBA.
The EASL is the premier championship league for basketball in East Asia, featuring the top men’s club teams from Taiwan (China), Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Hong Kong and Macau.
In December 2024, EASL partnered with Studio City to host the “Macau Classic” basketball event, which attracted numerous overseas fans. This tournament is also one of the seven GBA events in EASL’s 2024-2025 season.
