Ahead of Chinese New Year, MGM launched a series of charitable initiatives, bringing together its management team and employees to extend festive warmth to the elderly and those in need across Macau.

As part of the campaign, over 2,500 handwoven scarves, crafted by members of the MGM Golden Lion Volunteer Team, MGM employees and local students, were distributed to 14 schools and social service organizations, benefiting more than 3,100 individuals.

Marking its 11th consecutive year, MGM’s “Spring Clean for Love” program mobilized 220 volunteers, including over 50 senior management personnel, to provide home-cleaning services for 220 elderly households at Fai Fu Building at Fai Chi Kei Social Housing. The Golden Lion Volunteer Team also prepared gift packages, including daily necessities, along with handwoven scarves, ensuring that residents received both practical support and festive cheer.

MGM also continued its New Year calligraphy tradition, inviting 11 students from Macao Tung Sin Tong Secondary School to visit the Tung Sin Tong Elderly Activity Centre. During the visit, students hand wrote over 100 festive couplets in response to the elderlies’ New Year wishes. The event included cultural performances.

In addition, the Golden Lion Volunteer Team visited the Mong Ha Elderly Centre of the Macau Federation of Trade Unions, where over 100 elderly residents received gift bags containing grains and daily necessities as part of the celebrations.

Further strengthening its community outreach, MGM organized five charity haircut events throughout January. Volunteers from the MGM Golden Lion Hairdressing Team and the Teenage Hairdressing Team visited five social service centers, providing free haircuts to over 150 elderly residents.

MGM said it remains committed to supporting community welfare initiatives, particularly in elderly care and youth engagement.
