As part of a two-day exchange tour to Foshan and Jiangmen, nearly 20 long-time local food SME partners of MGM explored advanced food business operations in the Greater Bay Area, gaining insights on the latest production technologies and market trends.

The tour included visits to several food enterprise operations involved in production and processing, food machinery and equipment and traditional catering brands which have transformed into modern chain operations.

Participants were able to witness firsthand the daily operations of numerous exemplary businesses including Guangdong PinChain Machinery Co., Ltd.; Guangdong HOMPHON Baking Equipment Co., Ltd.; Guangdong Nan Xing Rainbow Nut Co., Ltd.; Guangdong Shunde Ouning Technology Electric Appliances Co., Ltd.; Guia (Jiangmen) Bakery Food Co. The delegation was also gracefully received by Liang Weipei – a Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Shunde District Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department, as well as Tan Xi – the Deputy Director of Shunde Economy Promotion Bureau.

In concert with the reception, a special Foshan-Macau industry exchange was held, introducing the district’s business environment and policies, and sparking exchanges about food industry inheritance and innovation, production techniques, restaurant chain management and operational efficiency improvements.

Joining the MGM GBA exchange tour for the second year, Carmen Ying, General Manager of Gourmet House Macau Ltd noted, “We have gained in-depth understanding of the food industry in the GBA, including its advanced management practices, technological applications and development trends. These insights, in turn, have enabled us to apply them within our own business to enhance efficiency and strengthen quality control for obtaining the ‘M-Mark’ certification, as well as expanding business opportunities.”
