- The Macau Fashion Design Industry Association presented the fashion show “Rebirth of Illusion” at Macau Fashion Festival 2026.
- The showcase featured works from 16 outstanding member designers, presenting performances across four thematic chapters.
The exclusive fashion show “Rebirth of Illusion,” presented by the Macau Fashion Design Industry Association (MFDIA), made its debut on 23 October at the Venetian Macao Convention and Exhibition Centre during the Macau Fashion Festival 2026.
Centered around the core concept of “Dream Awakening,” the show weaved through the narrative of illusion, destruction, rebirth and future. Integrating shibari art, dark aesthetics and body art, it created a unique style of contradictory romance, offering an artistic fashion feast brimming with tension and tenderness.

The showcase featured works from 16 outstanding member designers, led by subgroup directors Venus Tou, Simon Ouyang, Potinja Choi and William Che, who presented four thematic chapters: “Dream Catcher,” “THE UNSEEN,” “Rebirth” and “Futuristic Ballet.” The event also saw a collaboration with shibari artists and seasoned dancers, transcending boundaries through diverse artistic forms to convey the charm of original designs, showcasing the creative ingenuity and avant-garde vision of Macau’s new generation of designers.

This year marks the 5th anniversary of MFDIA’s establishment. A special recognition segment was held during the show to honor member designers who have quietly yet actively contributed to the association’s growth over the past five years, celebrating their dedication to advancing Macau’s original fashion and cultural creative industries.

MFDIA emphasized that this event aligns with the Macao SAR Government’s policies for cultural and creative industry development, promoting the local fashion industry’s advancement toward artistic and commercial growth.
