Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) has been actively engaging in environmental protection and sustainable development initiatives in Macau, achieving significant results across various sectors.

In March, during the 2024 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum and Exhibition (2024 MIECF) organized by the Macau SAR Government, GEG showcased its green initiatives through an environmental booth, sharing its achievements with the public. The company was once again honored with the “Green Booth Award”, recognizing its efforts in booth design and construction aimed at promoting environmental awareness.

Additionally, a GEG representative received the inaugural certificate for promoting green conventions and exhibitions and for reducing carbon emissions at the event’s inaugural green convention and exhibition promotion activity.

GEG also made notable advancements in energy conservation, with its properties Galaxy Macau and Broadway Macau winning the “Energy Saving Concept” and earning second place in the “Energy Saving” and the “Hotel Group B” categories respectively in the 2023 Macau Energy Saving campaign organized by Companhia de Electricidade de Macau (CEM). These awards highlight GEG’s effective measures in energy reduction and efficiency improvement.

GEG is the integrated resort operator that has garnered the most EarthCheck certifications in Macau. This recognition from the world’s leading environmental certification for travel and tourism is a testament to GEG’s standing commitment to sustainability.

GEG has stated its ongoing commitment to promoting green and sustainable development principles. By incorporating environmental facilities and implementing diverse conservation measures, GEG is dedicated to reducing energy consumption, fulfilling corporate social responsibilities and contributing positively to the environmental and sustainable development of Macau and beyond.
