GEG wins Gold Award for Youth Empowerment Initiative from PATA

  • GEG was presented with the Gold Award for “Youth Empowerment Initiative” at the 2024 PATA Gold Award Ceremony.
  • This was the third time GEG has been recognized for its contribution to talent contribution by PATA.

Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) was presented with the Gold Award for “Youth Empowerment Initiative” under the Sustainability and Social Responsibility Category at the 2024 Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Gold Award Ceremony, held in late August in Bangkok, Thailand.

The winning project, “Galaxy Entertainment Group – Nurturing Macau’s Future Leaders and Cultivating Our Team Members”, encompasses nearly 50 activities and programs conducted by GEG in 2023 across five major areas: sports, science and technology, arts and culture, career exploration and advancement, and healthy development.

The PATA Gold Award Ceremony, a prestigious annual event in the tourism industry, aims to recognize excellence in various aspects of tourism. This marks the third time GEG has received this honor, following their gold awards in different categories of “Sustainability and Social Responsibility” in 2021 and 2023.

Buddy Lam, Director of Corporate Affairs of GEG, accepted the award on behalf of the company and stated, “GEG recognizes the importance of talent cultivation to Macau’s sustainable development and we are honored to be recognized by PATA once again for our efforts. GEG has dedicated enormous resources to support the nurturing of local talent and empowering our team members over the years, using various approaches to enhance their comprehensive competitiveness and broaden their international perspectives.”

GEG has consistently focused on nurturing talent across various fields in Macau. Through hosting international sports events and local community activities, promoting youth science education and offering cultural and artistic programs, GEG helps develop local talent. The company also provides training and internship opportunities to support the career growth of young people and team members, enabling them to realize their potential.
