GalaxyArt unveils Boom and Bloom art exhibition

  • GEG unveiled the “Boom and Bloom Exhibition” at GalaxyArt.
  • The exhibition explores the connection between dreams, cultural values and fulfillment for young audiences.

Organized by Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG), the art exhibition Boom and Bloom Exhibition: A Journey of Wishes and Rebirth recently debuted at GalaxyArt, located in Galaxy Macau.

The exhibition features three exclusive, commissioned Boom and Bloom pieces premiering in Macau, along with five additional artworks inspired by precious jewels and metals, with large, lustrous “pearls”, glittering “gold ingot” hearts and Macau’s city flower, the lotus.

Local artist Sanchia Lau, born in the 1990s, captures the essence of dreams and the unique charm of Macau’s culture through her Wishing Doll series. Meanwhile, mainland Chinese artist Ray Chan, born in the 1980s, infuses vitality and prosperity into his Shake Money Tree series, fostering a dialogue between history and modernity for younger audiences.

Curated by Hong Kong-based Gary Mok, the exhibition draws inspiration from traditional Chinese garden aesthetics, exploring young audiences’ interests in contemporary art.

Timed with the New Year and Spring Festival, the exhibition will unveil three exclusive designs at different stages: Joy and Glory, Boom and Bloom, and A Propitious Omen.

A newly introduced art shop will showcase the artists’ latest cultural and creative works, including limited-edition blind boxes. Visitors can also enjoy interactive photo zones and participate in workshops such as the Angel Wings Paper Crane Workshop, the All the Best Crystal Money Tree Workshop and the Micro-Landscape Ecological Bottle Workshop.

Bringing together artists from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau, the exhibition offers an innovative and playful celebration of Chinese culture while delivering festive blessings of good fortune, with the aim of promoting the “Culture + Art” concept and fostering artistic exchange across the Greater Bay Area.
