Organized by the China Movie Channel, the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, Bauhinia Culture Holdings Limited and Phoenix Television, the “A Full Moon Rising Above the Greater Bay Area – The Greater Bay Area Film Concert 2025” was recently held at Galaxy Arena. The event was supported by Galaxy Arena and co-organized by Guangdong Radio and Television.

This highly anticipated Chinese-language entertainment extravaganza returned to Galaxy Arena for the second consecutive year, gathering nearly a hundred filmmakers and musicians from across mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. Marking the 130th anniversary of world cinema and the 120th anniversary of Chinese cinema, the event paid tribute to cinematic classics while celebrating the art of light and shadow.

This year’s concert, themed “One World, One Love”, embodied the Greater Bay Area’s cultural diversity and spirit of integration, symbolizing the region’s new beginning after years of development. The program commenced with a star-studded rendition of Moon Soung, accompanied by a giant backdrop screen displaying a full moon – a fitting symbol of reunion and blessings as the Mid-Autumn Festival approached.

Additionally, organizers invited American singer Bertie Higgins and Norwegian duo M2M to perform live renditions of Casablanca and The Day You Went Away, showcasing Macau’s role as a bridge for cultural exchange between China and the international community.

Galaxy Arena, covering nearly 3,250 square meters, features an unobstructed stage space reaching 28 meters in height, supported by a suspension system capable of bearing 140 tons. Nearly 3,000 lighting fixtures were installed to create a dazzling atmosphere.
