Melco colleagues’ holistic development honored with multiple awards

Recently, Melco colleagues have earned prestigious recognition at both Stelliers Greater China 2025 and the 2025 Macau International Chinese Cuisine Chef Competition, demonstrating exceptional professionalism and outstanding expertise.

Jane Lao

At Stelliers Greater China 2025, Jane Lao, Vice President of Finance, was named Finance Hotelier of the Year, while Mavis Lai, Executive Housekeeper at City of Dreams, received the Housekeeping Hotelier of the Year award.

Melco’s culinary team excelled at the recent 2025 Macau International Chinese Cuisine Chef Competition, scoring the top number of awards amongst 130 competing teams from more than 40 countries and regions worldwide.

The competition was organized by the United Association of Food and Beverage Merchants of Macao and was hosted in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Macao Food Festival.

The Melco team demonstrated their dedication, exceptional culinary skills and talent, as well as an ability to deliver unparalleled results under intense pressure, achieving the top three results across multiple competition categories.

Mavis Lai

In the Dim Sum Competition, Cook Lorin Wu and Cook 1 Laurin Lok were awarded; In the Hot Dish Competition, Cook 1 Seng Leong and Sou Chef Alan Wong received accolades; and in the Team Competition, Cooks Steven Huang, Shea Liang and Jeff Lin and Chef de Cuisine Alex Tang were recognized.

Among the awardees are two graduates of Melco’s “Culinary Foundation Acceleration Program” – Macau’s first talent development program of its kind for the sector which aims to discover and nurture local culinary talent while reinforcing Macau’s position as a UNESCO designated “Creative City of Gastronomy”.
