MGM’s responsible gaming efforts propel sustainable development

  • MGM promotes responsible gaming and financial literacy through school tours, university partnerships and public education programs in Macau.
  • In 2025, MGM launched an Employee Care Program to strengthen staff knowledge and extend RG impact to the wider community.

MGM, as one of Macau’s first integrated resort operators with all casinos recognized as “Responsible Gambling Model Units”, continues to champion responsible gaming (RG) as part of its commitment to integrity, innovation and community well-being. Beyond compliance, MGM embeds RG into its corporate culture, reflecting its vision for a sustainable and healthy society.

Since 2023, MGM has introduced the “MGM Responsible Gaming Community Engagement Scheme”, aimed at fostering public awareness of RG and promoting financial literacy. This initiative targets diverse groups, including primary, secondary and university students, youth, families, tourists and industry professionals through creative and interactive educational programs.

Building on this strong foundation, MGM has delivered meaningful impact through a series of industry-first activities, including its position as the first integrated resort operator to launch a financial education drama school tour series, delivering nearly 70 sessions to more than 12,000 primary and secondary students since 2023.

At the tertiary level, MGM also pioneered university partnerships that incorporate RG and financial wellness into orientation courses for incoming bachelor’s and master’s students.

In addition, it has strengthened youth development and professional readiness by providing over 800 hours of lectures to more than 500 university students and young professionals, deepening practical understanding of RG principles and sound financial habits.

In 2025, MGM launched the “MGM Responsible Gaming Employee Care Program” – reinforcing its belief that “RG begins with our people”. By strengthening its team members’ knowledge, MGM said it endeavors to promote responsible gaming from the company to the wider community

MGM promotes RG across the wider community, setting industry benchmarks and supporting Macau’s sustainable tourism goals. Through innovation and dedication, the company said it strives to build a safer, healthier future for all.
