Organized by MGM, the “MGM Financial Education School Drama Tour” was staged at Hengqin School Affiliated to Hou Kong Middle School on 12 October, marking the program’s first performance outside Macau. The educational drama brought messages of sound financial management, responsible decision-making and positive values to students in Hengqin.
Now in its fourth year, the “MGM Financial Education School Drama Tour” has delivered more than 70 performances at local primary and secondary schools, reaching over 12,000 students.

This year, alongside its annual Macau school tour, the program made its debut in Hengqin. Through interactive theatrical performances, students explore real-life scenarios involving blind-box purchases, in-game spending, trend-driven consumption and excessive spending.
By encouraging students to distinguish between impulses and necessities, the program helps cultivate prudent spending habits, thoughtful planning, and responsible use of resources, empowering them to develop sound financial management skills and positive values in their daily lives.
Tina Wong, Director of Responsible Gaming at MGM, said: “Young people are a vital force in driving the sustainable development of society. As information channels and consumption patterns continue to evolve, nurturing the younger generation’s positive values and financial literacy has become increasingly important.”

Representatives of the Hengqin School Affiliated to Hou Kong Middle School said, “We are pleased to welcome the “MGM Financial Education School Drama Tour” to our campus. Through interactive drama performances, the program helps students distinguish between ‘wants’ and ‘needs’ and develop a rational approach to consumption and promotes educational exchange and resource integration between Macau and Hengqin.”
