Title-sponsored by Galaxy Entertainment Group, organized by the Macau Sports Channel and supported by the Sports Bureau of the Macao SAR Government and the Education and Youth Development Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, the second season of “Galaxy Entertainment Group Presents: We Are Macau Athletes” held its seventh special school visit on 2 February.

A group of athletes visited the Escola Secundária Ilha Verde da Associação Comercial de Macau, engaging with around 300 students. The attended athletes included track and field athlete Loi Im Lam, who made a historic appearance in the finals of the National Games, artistic swimming athlete Au Ieong Sin Ieng, and gold medalist in the Male Amateur Team Kata at the 15th National Games of the People’s Republic of China and a two-time member of “Galaxy Entertainment Group Presents: We Are Macau Athletes” Kuok Kin Hang. Besides, the event also invited Fong Man Hou, Fong Man Wai and Hui Ka Seng, who are karate team members and the recipients of 2025 Sports Merit Medal, as special guests, to share their athletic journeys, the dedication behind their medals and the challenges they experienced, encouraging students to pursue their dreams with courage and face adversity with a positive attitude.

During the athlete sharing session, Kuok stated, “Receiving the Medal of Merit – Sports from the SAR Government is an invaluable encouragement for the Macau Karate Team. Every day we train side by side, working tirelessly and supporting one another like family. I am grateful to GEG for its continuous support of Macau athletes, such as through the ‘Galaxy Entertainment Group Presents: We Are Macau Athletes’ series, which promotes the spirit of Macau athletes and inspires more young people to bravely pursue their dreams.”

In addition to the sharing session, Fong and Hui demonstrated kumite sparring on the spot, allowing students to experience the appeal of karate up close and learn the spirit of “a moment of glory built on years of effort”.
The school later arranged an interactive “reaction light” game, and the athletes even shared the joy of the National Games medals with the winning students. After the event, students enthusiastically asked for autographs and took photos with the athletes.
