GEG supports SME growth through certification program

  • GEG held the second “GEG SME Series: Quality Enhancement Certification Program” Certificate Award Ceremony at Galaxy International Convention Center.
  • The event attracted over 80 representatives from participating enterprises and featured exhibition booths to facilitate exchange between suppliers and GEG’s procurement team.

As the first integrated tourism and leisure enterprise in Macau to promote the “Large Businesses Leading Small Businesses” business model, Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) has continued to advance the upgrading and transformation of local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through diversified initiatives.

GEG held the second award ceremony for the “GEG SME Series: Quality Enhancement Certification Program”

Since 2024, GEG has launched the “GEG SME Series: Quality Enhancement Certification Program,” to support eligible local supplier partners to complete management system training courses offered by the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM) over two consecutive years. The program enables participating SMEs to obtain the “M-Mark” Macau Product Quality Certification as well as other professional certifications.

GEG recently held the second Certificate Award Ceremony at the Galaxy International Convention Center, recognizing nearly 40 suppliers who successfully attained the relevant certifications. The event attracted over 80 representatives from participating enterprises and featured exhibition booths to facilitate exchange between suppliers and GEG’s procurement team.

GEG supplier partners participating in the 2025 program obtained a range of professional certifications, including the M-Mark, the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) Food Safety Management System certification and the ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification, covering multiple sectors such as food and beverage, engineering and trade.

All three local food enterprises successfully obtained the M-Mark certification after passing factory audits and product testing, meeting the required quality standards and effectively accelerating their upgrading and transformation.

In addition, the event featured 10 product and service exhibition booths, providing a platform for supplier partners to engage with GEG’s Procurement and relevant operating teams and to explore future collaboration opportunities.

GEG noted that it has continued to roll out practical initiatives under the “GEG SME Series”, including business matching sessions, themed seminars and training programs, to support local SMEs.

GEG supports Grand Thought Think Tank inauguration ceremony and seminar

On September 12, the swearing-in ceremony for the fourth-term governing bodies of the Grand Thought Think Tank, along with a seminar titled “New Opportunities and Pathways for Macau’s Development under the New Blueprint of the 15th Five-Year Plan”, was held at Banyan Tree Macau. Organized by Grand Thought Think Tank with partial funding from the Macao Foundation, the event received GEG’s venue support through the “GEG Venue Partnership Pilot Program”. Around 180 representatives from various sectors, organizations, and higher education institutions attended to discuss Macau’s future development opportunities.
