- GEG Presents Youth Screening of “Dear You” and Exclusive Cast Sharing Session at Galaxy Cinemas.
- Aimed at youth groups, the special screening gave attendees a chance to see the film and meet the minds behind its creation.
A special spotlight was shone on Chinese cinema in June; Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) joined hands with the Macao Youth Federation and the Macao Chao Shan Youth Association to host the “Galaxy Entertainment Group Presents: ‘Dear You’ Youth Screening and Cast Sharing Session,” at Galaxy Cinemas in Galaxy Macau integrated resort, attracting over 300 youth participants from various associations. The exclusive event also featured a post-screening sharing session with the movie’s director and cast, marking the only official cast meet-and-greet in Macau.

Since its release in Hong Kong and Macau on 18 June, the movie “Dear You” has exploded at the box office, rocketing past RMB1.9 billion in Mainland China.
At the event, director Lan Hongchun, along with actors Li Sitong, Wang Yantong, Zheng Runqi, and Zhong Shaoxian, joined the sharing session to give insights on their journeys and thoughts behind the film’s creative concepts, filming anecdotes and character insights.

As one of the organizers, GEG has continuously promoted the spirit of “Loving the country and Loving Macau” among the youth and community. In addition to providing the venue support under the GEG Venue Partnership Pilot Program and multiple assistance for this event, GEG also invited 30 students from the “GEG Youth Achievement Program” and the “GEG Macau Cup — Youth National Education Competition” to participate.
Student representatives from the “GEG Macau Cup”, together with other young participants, enthusiastically engaged during the sharing session to gain a deeper understanding of the creative stories and cultural connotations behind the movie, further experiencing the nostalgia of overseas Chinese pioneers, as well as the traditional virtue of keeping promises.
