“WTT Champions Macao 2026 Presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group” to thrill fans in September

  • The “WTT Champions Macao 2026 presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group” will be held from 8 to 13 September.
  • This year’s tournament features 32 male and 32 female players in the Singles categories.

“WTT Champions Macao 2026 presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group” returns to Macau in 2026, taking place from 8 to 13 September at the Macao East Asian Games Dome.

The event is presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group and organized by the Sports Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, World Table Tennis (WTT) and Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG), and co-organized by the Macau Table Tennis General Association.

Since an inaugural global tournament was held in Macau in November 2020 shortly after the WTT’s establishment in 2019, the WTT has ushered in a new era of professionalized table tennis. The “WTT Champions Macao” debuted in 2022, becoming the world’s first regular fixture for championship tournaments. GEG has supported the tournament for seven consecutive editions since its debut in Macau and has also served as one of its organizers since 2023.

The “WTT Champions Macao 2026” will feature the world’s finest table tennis players, with this year’s edition featuring 32 male and 32 female players in two Singles categories: Men’s Singles and Women’s Singles.

The round of 32 will be held on 8, 9, and (during the first session) 10 September, while the round of 16 will follow in the second session on 10 September and on 11 September. The quarter-finals will take place on 12 September, with the semi-finals and finals to be contested on 13 September.

Ticket sales for the first round commenced on 31 July. Tickets can be purchased via the Damai mobile app and mini program, Maiseat, Galaxy Ticketing, MacauTicket.com and the mPass platform via the MPay mobile app.

GEG supports Grand Thought Think Tank inauguration ceremony and seminar

On September 12, the swearing-in ceremony for the fourth-term governing bodies of the Grand Thought Think Tank, along with a seminar titled “New Opportunities and Pathways for Macau’s Development under the New Blueprint of the 15th Five-Year Plan”, was held at Banyan Tree Macau. Organized by Grand Thought Think Tank with partial funding from the Macao Foundation, the event received GEG’s venue support through the “GEG Venue Partnership Pilot Program”. Around 180 representatives from various sectors, organizations, and higher education institutions attended to discuss Macau’s future development opportunities.
