  • SMEs’ and innovators’ strengths join Melco’s diverse business procurement, fostering precise business matching.

In support of further integration across the Macau-Hengqin corridor, Melco Resorts & Entertainment recently co-hosted the “Technological Innovation Industry-Academia-Research Reverse Business Matching” event, in collaboration with the Economic and Technological Development Bureau (DSEDT) and the Science and Technology Development Fund (FDCT).

The event was also implemented by the Macao Young Entrepreneur Incubation Centre (MYEIC).

The business matching initiative was recently held at Studio City, bringing together certified local tech enterprises, tech firms based at the Macao International Technology Industry Centre, strategic partners of the Zhongguancun Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Youth Innovation Centre, and research teams from higher education institutions. The event attracted over 130 participants.

Real-world operational challenges were presented by Melco representatives, from teams including Food & Beverage, Facility Services, House of Dancing Water and Environmental Services, inviting attendees to collaborate and co-create high-tech solutions.

By matching SME participants and innovators’ skills and products with Melco’s varied corporate demands, the event aimed to facilitate and accelerate innovation from concept to commercial success.

Melco Board Director Clarence Chung highlighted its opportunities, noting, “Supporting local tech talent and certified enterprises is at the core of our sustainability and corporate responsibility efforts. This collaborative matching session offers actionable opportunities for home-grown innovation to thrive, driving new momentum for Macau’s non-gaming economic development.
