Staying true to its theme and upholding the core vision of career development, this year’s program offers a rich array of developmental activities, empowering young participants to delve deep into local culture and map out their career paths. One of its highlights is the thematic seminar and culinary intangible‑heritage experience event “The Career Journey: From Cultural Heritage to Professional Growth,” held in late July.

The event featured Mr Daniel Chio, Sous Chef of Galaxy Macau and the first Macau chef selected for the United Nations “Young Chefs Programme.” The chef shared insights from his personal career trajectory, passing on sustainable dining philosophies and hands‑on industry experience.

Chio also guided participants in making Portuguese egg tarts, a treasured item of Macau’s intangible cultural heritage. Through hands‑on creation, participants got to appreciate Macau’s distinctive charm, shaped by the integration of Chinese and Western cultures.

The 15th YAP has delivered a wide spectrum of signature activities, including a Spring Festival copper‑rubbing intangible‑heritage experience, Portuguese folk‑dance workshops, Greater Bay Area cultural study tours and leadership training camps. These multi‑faceted initiatives nurture young talent through cultural immersion, horizon‑expanding exposure and competency building.
