GEG Joins Hands with the Community to Promote Responsible Gaming Awareness Among Youth

  • GEG and the Youth Volunteer Association of Macao launched the “GEG RG Promotion Ambassador Program Series”.
  • Guided by senior “Responsible Gaming Ambassadors” from the association, GEG interns conducted responsible gaming outreach in the Seac Pai Van community.

Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) and the Youth Volunteer Association of Macao have jointly launched the “GEG RG Promotion Ambassador Program Series,” using structured training, practical outreach exercises and community service experiences to cultivate young ambassadors for responsible gaming. The program brings participants into the community to deliver positive gaming messages to residents and collectively expand the network for responsible gaming promotion.

Recently, under the guidance of senior Responsible Gaming Ambassadors from the association, GEG interns visited the Seac Pai Van Family and Community Integrated Service Center of the General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macau to learn about local resources and support services. They also attended a responsible gaming information booth seminar and outreach promotion workshop, then carried the message of responsible entertainment into the community through on-site outreach to residents, reaching more than 1,300 people in total.

This year’s activities further invited some interns to take part in event planning. From venue layout and event setup to explaining games, they were involved in every aspect of the preparations. Participants who complete the full training curriculum will be certified as “Responsible Gaming Promotion Ambassadors.”

In addition, GEG arranged for interns to visit the Sheng Kung Hui Gambling Counselling and Family Wellness Centre. Through specialist presentations by Ms Jackie Wu Wai-Han, the Unit in Charge, and the center’s trainers, the interns deepened their understanding of the role and services of organizations that work on gambling disorder prevention, further promoting a healthy and responsible culture.
