Galaxy Entertainment Group 2023 Yao Foundation Charity Game to be held in Macau in September

Organized by Beijing Yao Foundation and co-organized and title-sponsored by Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG), the “Galaxy Entertainment Group 2023 11th Yao Foundation Charity Game” will be held in Macau for the first time, on 16 and 17 September at Galaxy International Convention Center and Galaxy Arena.

In her speech during the press conference, Ms Ye Li, Chairman of the Yao Foundation, pointed out that Macau residents have a great passion for sports, with sports events such as marathons, Grand Prix and the WTT Champions Macao taking place here. She expressed high expectations for the 2023 Charity Game. She also expressed her gratitude to Galaxy Entertainment Group for providing such an excellent venue for the charity game and warm hospitality.

Mr Philip Cheng, Director of GEG, also indicated that GEG will actively promote the Charity Game model and expand the love for basketball in the community by fully supporting and participating in extended activities. He also extended his sincere congratulations to Macau athletes on their outstanding performance in the 31st FISU World University Games.

Gathering top basketball star teams from China and overseas, an exciting match will unfold on the court at Galaxy Arena. In addition, the Hive5 Sports Short Film Festival will be held at Galaxy Macau during the same period, bringing the premiere of the documentary If Wuhan Were a Basketball Team, and a range of captivating sports video content to Macau, as well as a series of extended activities such as a public welfare forum, a school visit, and a basketball carnival open to the public.

The Yao Foundation, founded by iconic basketball legend and NBA Hall of Famer Yao Ming, has been organizing basketball charity games for over 10 years, including the first sports charity event in China.
