The four-day extravaganza Macau Fashion Festival held last week

The annual extravaganza of the local fashion community, Macau Fashion Festival 2023, was held last week. As a large-scale event co-organized by the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM) and the Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), it offered an important platform for Macau’s creative clothing brands to showcase their fashion chops.

The event kicked off last Thursday, with a Fashion Parade on the first day. By gathering eight outstanding designers from Macau, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Zhongshan, it created a fashion show that combined traditional fashion wisdom with design aesthetics.

The four-day event also featured two Fashion Salons with different themes in a bid to introduce the most up-to-date information and development trends of the fashion industry. On Sunday, the “Light of Macao Designers”, a fashion parade prepared by the Macau Fashion Design Industry Association (MFDIA) and dedicated to local show designers, was held.

In order to better promote the SAR’s original products to other regions, the organizer set up a live stream, allowing audience members to join the four-day fashion event through WeChat, in order to boost publicity of the festival and enhance interactions between the industry and the public.
