Galaxy Entertainment Group continues to demonstrate its committed to supporting the Macau SAR Government’s policies regarding local talent cultivation and the tourism industry’s diversification by nurturing talent for the broader integrated-resort industry. Recently, GEG welcomed a group of over 50 students and academic staff from the Department of Integrated Resort and Tourism of the University of Macau for a visit at the Broadway Theatre to deepen their understanding of the entertainment, cultural and arts industries.
The visit started with a sharing session by Ms Fiona Soo, Assistant Vice President of Broadway Theatre, where she shared her theater operations and entertainment experiences, enriching the students’ knowledge of Macau’s “tourism +” trends. Afterwards, participants were led on a guided tour of the backstage area of Broadway Theatre.
GEG continues to facilitate Macau’s development into a World Center of Tourism and Leisure through initiatives such as the “GEG Venue Partnership Pilot Program”, through which the company provides dedicated support and technical assistance to various local organizations hosting a wide array of cultural, arts, and entertainment activities at Broadway Macau, encouraging the community to take part in cultural, arts and entertainment events.
For example, GEG recently sponsored the Macau Association for Intellectual Development Services which organized the “Art • Music Unlimited” inclusive performance at Broadway Theatre. The show comprised various performances delivered by members of 16 local social service organizations with aims of encouraging people with special needs to showcase their talent and potential confidently, as well as promoting social inclusion.
