GEG visits Premier School Affiliated to Hou Kong Middle School for “Career Planning Sharing”

In mid-February, GEG was invited by Premier School Affiliated to Hou Kong Middle School to share their analyses of career development in and industry prospects for the large-scale integrated resort and hotel industries. The discussion was with more than 200 local middle school students.

There was also discussion with the students regarding how to equip themselves and seize future career opportunities. GEG emphasized the “4+2 Talent Traits” that enterprises value, consisting of four kinds of Abilities – communication ability, adaptability, management ability and ability to pay attention to details – and two Attitudes, specifically a positive working attitude along with the ability to work and grow together as team.

GEG encouraged the students to prepare their career planning in advance, considering their personal characteristics, interests and abilities as well as employment market needs before setting directions and goals for their personal development.

The career planning session is yet another example of the emphasis GEG places regarding cultivating local talent for the future. As the development of Macau’s tourism industry enters a new stage, the future focus will be on non-gaming elements such as conferences and exhibitions, entertainment performances, arts and culture and sports events.
