Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) promoted high-quality development of tourism executive talent through education and training at the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Tourism Education Training Base, also known as the Guangzhou Cooperation Center.
On 9 and 10 March this year, the “Galaxy Entertainment Group Executives Greater Bay Area Exchange Activity” was held in Guangzhou with 14 Galaxy Entertainment Group executives participating.
Initiated by Macao Institute for Tourism Studies (IFTM), as part of the two-day event, GEG senior management team conducted on-the-spot visits, discussions and exchange studies at the Garden Hotel, GZL Tour, China Grand Hotel and other enterprises of the Guangzhou Lingnan Business Travel Investment Group.
The GEG team had exchanges and discussions with the hotel manager team of Guangzhou Garden Hotel and the management team of GZL Tour to understand the latest developments in data application, user experience, brand marketing, and cultural catering experiences. Through these case studies the participants stimulated ideas and explored more in-depth cooperation opportunities.
Mr Harrison Lun, Vice President of Hospitality Operations & Theatre, Broadway Macau, on behalf of GEG’s senior management team, gave a lecture at the Guangzhou Cooperation Center, sharing with about 80 representatives of the Guangzhou Lingnan Business Travel Investment Group and students from Guangzhou Panyu Polytechnic insights on GEG’s catering operations and management strategies. The atmosphere of the interaction and exchange event was lively and informative.
The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Tourism Education Training Base (Guangzhou Cooperation Center) was created and built cooperatively by the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Tourism; the Macao Institute for Tourism Studies and the Guangzhou Lingnan Business Travel Investment Group and was established in 2021. The center aims to provide a communication platform for senior managers of tourism, hotels and exhibitions in Guangdong and Macau to promote understanding of the latest development trends in the Greater Bay Area tourism and hotel industry.
During the event, GEG presented a souvenir to the Guangzhou Lingnan Business Travel Investment Group. The gold foil painting outlined the architecture of GEG’s three flagship properties – integrated resort Galaxy Macau, Broadway Macau and StarWorld Macau – with exquisite craftsmanship. This specially made architectural style souvenir will be permanently displayed in the Garden Hotel Museum in Guangzhou.
