To convey the perseverance of Macau athletes and encourage students to dare to pursue their dreams, Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) title-sponsored the “Galaxy Entertainment Group Presents – We Are Macau Athletes” series of activities. The event was hosted by Macau Sports Channel and supported by the Sports Bureau and the Education and Youth Development Bureau. Macau athletes were invited to local secondary schools and community associations to share their journey as athletes with the public.

Several Macau athletes from different sports were invited to the Macao Hou Kong Secondary School in early July to share their sports career and dreams with the students and played interactive games such as football and table tennis in a lively atmosphere.

In the first sharing session of the event, athletes in the field of karate, artistic swimming, football and many other sports were invited to share their mental journey with Hou Kong students.

Lau Cho Un, Vice President of the Sports Bureau, Lei Im Kei, Acting Director of the Education and Youth Development Bureau, Philip Cheng, Director of GEG, and other guests attended the opening ceremony of the event.

Philip Cheng, Director of GEG, said in his speech that over the years, GEG has been actively supporting and organizing different types of sports events and activities in various ways in support of the Macau SAR government’s policies on sports development. Through title-sponsoring the event, GEG hopes to inspire local athletes who are actively preparing for different competitions and let more local residents know more about the dedication and goals of local athletes in sports, as well as their enthusiasm and determination to win glory for Macau.

Lei Sao Keong, editor-in-chief of Macau Sports Channel, also expressed in his speech that he hopes that through this event, more people will know and support Macau athletes, understand the perseverance they show on the sports field, and reflect the values of the athletes.
