Celebrating this year’s Art Macao, Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) invited local youths and social service organizations to join a series of extended activities in addition to its special exhibtion “BE@RBRICK MACAU – World’s First Immersive BE@RBRICK Art Exhibition”. The extended activities include the Graffiti Art Painting Workshop hosted by Macau local artist MCZ_Thomas at Galaxy Macau’s GalaxyArt Gallery, as well as the “Power of Art: Contemporary Art & Fashion: A Driving Force of the Cultural Industry Development” art forum, with the aim of integrating art into the community.
The special exhibition BE@RBRICK MACAU will be held from 29 July to 22 September, with GEG organizing two graffiti workshops on its first day hosted by MCZ_Thomas. During the two workshops, he taught members of the Macau Chinese New Youth Association and the Association of Parents of the People with Intellectual Disabilities of Macau’s affiliated Seng Kong Se to create unique designs using recycled shopping bags.
Chester Ku, Deputy Executive Director of Macao New Chinese Youth Association, said, “participating in the workshops of GEG’s art exhibition allows younger generations to appreciate art and communicate with the artists behind the project, allowing members to have a much better understanding of multicultural art.”
GEG also invited members from the Macau Youth International Art and Culture Association, Frost Ice Snow Creative Experimental Theatre, and Macao Illustrators Association to participate in the “Power of Art: Contemporary Art & Fashion: A Driving Force of the Cultural Industry Development” art forum as an extension of the special exhibition.
