The “We Care, We Share” Mental Health Public Speaking Competition attracts more than 80 student participants

The two-month “We Care, We Share” Mental Health Ambassador Promotion Program and Macau Secondary Students Mental Health Public Speaking Competition attracted more than 80 student participants.

The public speaking competition was co-organized by the Macau Speaker Association, the Rotary Club of Macau and the ICBC Youth Association. Featuring the theme of mental health, the competition was divided into junior high school and high school groups and strived to cultivate young people’s interest in public speaking, improve their speech and communication skills, and promote positive mental health knowledge.

Dr Christy Lam, President of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Macau) Limited Youth Association, stated in her speech, “Through the training and public speech competition of the Ambassador Promotion Program, contestants can better understand themselves and explore their own potential, challenge themselves and gain friendships.

“We hope that in the future more experiential and open training projects will be launched in a bid to build a better communication and learning platform, and support the development of Macau’s cultural and educational sectors.”
