Wynn celebrated the Year of the Dragon with a series of festive activities

Wynn ushered in auspicious new beginnings for the Year of the Dragon with a plethora of celebratory events, showcasing a rich tapestry of diverse tourism offerings for Macau while also extending Chinese New Year blessings to visitors from around the world.

In alignment with the Macau government’s vibrant festivities during Chinese New Year, the Rua da Felicidade Pedestrian Zone captured the attention of locals and tourists alike with its lively array of cuisine, entertainment and cultural offerings, carefully curated by Wynn. From 10 to 18 February, and continuing from 23 to 25 February, the Pedestrian Zone has been filled with festive Chinese New Year décor, traditional cultural performances and a lively handicrafts market. Specialty cocktails, limited-edition Chinese New Year cookies and free cultural tours along Rua da Felicidade were provided. The God of Wealth also visited the street to spread good fortune and share his blessings during the Chinese New Year holidays.

While strolling through the vibrant streets of Rua da Felicidade, visitors were able experience the joy and excitement of celebrating Chinese New Year with the locals.

On the third (12 February) and eighth days (17 February) of Chinese New Year, Wynn participated in the “Parade for Celebration for the Year of the Dragon 2024” hosted by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO). Wynn’s Chinese New Year float featured the iconic Wynn SkyCab and a golden dragon, symbolizing a dragon taking flight to bring good fortune to everyone during Chinese New Year. Performers from all walks of life led a joyful celebration along Rua da Felicidade, extending their best wishes to everyone in Macau.

Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace also hosted dragon and lion dance performances on 17 and 18 February during which Ms Linda Chen, President, Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Wynn Macau, Limited, officiated a dragon and lion eye-dotting ceremony with the Wynn management team to mark the start of a new year filled with prosperity and great achievements. Both resorts were full of elegant Chinese New Year décor to create a truly festive atmosphere.

According to the MGTO, Macau registered nearly 1.36 million visitor arrivals throughout the eight-day Spring Festival Golden Week.
