  • The agreement will help cultivate talent with green skills.

MGM and the Macao Science Center signed an agreement for the “Sustainable Development Innovation & Technology and Green Skills Education Campaign” in mid-July. MGM stated that the initiative aims to promote sustainable development, innovation and green technology education in Macau, helping to cultivate and reserve talent with green skills.

The campaign, spanning three years, will see both parties co-organize various science education activities and enhance the exhibition items in the Sustainable Development Gallery at the Macao Science Center. This initiative is in line with the mission of the Macao Science Center as a “green, low-carbon” science education base, promoting sustainable development and environmental awareness to the public, especially youth. The project is also supported by the Education and Youth Development Bureau, the China Green Building Council and the China Green Building and Energy Saving (Macau) Association.

At the signing ceremony, Director of the Education and Youth Development Bureau Kong Chi Meng highlighted the Macau SAR government’s focus on green and low-carbon education policies. He expressed his gratitude to MGM for supporting Macau’s sustainable science education and expressed hope for further collaboration between the two parties to advance green transformation and nurture talent in green innovation.

Kenneth Feng, President and Executive Director of MGM China, said both MGM and the Macao Science Center have high standards and requirements for environmental protection and sustainable development. They are committed to enhancing the public’s scientific literacy and cultivating the innovative spirit and practical abilities of young people.

This cooperation is highly significant for MGM, not only embodying the belief of “Talent Development for a Better Macau” but also aligning with the vision of “Create a Better Tomorrow Today” for sustainable development. Feng said he looks forward to deepening cooperation with the Science Center to jointly promote technological innovation.
