CANDOR – Shanghai’s famed cabaret theater – brings its top-notch cast to Macau, presenting a newly upgraded original cabaret show every Friday and Saturday from 19 July to 3 August at the Wynn Palace Entertainment Event Marquee.
The history of Parisian cabarets evolved in the 1880s and most famously with the legendary Moulin Rouge, where a variety of vibrant art forms come to life on stage, from song and dance to comedy and drama. Since its establishment in 2015, Shanghai’s immersive cabaret theater CANDOR has become a leading name in cabaret performances in China, renowned for its unique shows and becoming one of Shanghai’s most iconic cultural experiences.
For this Macau premiere, CANDOR presents the all-new “Babylon” production themed around the mysterious ancient city of Babylon. The cast is led by Alexander, hailed as one of “China’s most popular Western male dancers and choreographers”, the internationally awarded singer, pianist and performer Kateryna, and Cocosanti, the “Bearded Queen” who has taken Shanghai by storm with her dramatic cabaret and burlesque performances. Together, they promise an immersive multi-sensory feast filled with surprises.
Wynn said that through this new CANDOR cabaret show, it aims to continue to introduce diverse and culturally entertaining experiences for Macau residents and tourists from around the world in support of the Macao SAR Government’s “1+4” appropriate diversification development strategy and the development of the non-gaming sector.
