This year, the event has expanded in scale and refined its topics under the theme “Experiments in Experience”, exploring how design and its thinking can help society address various challenges such as climate change, sustainable development, diversity and inclusivity.

The gathering boasted a roster of luminary figures such as Robert Brunner, a trailblazer in industrial design from Silicon Valley; Elizabeth Brink, co-CEO of Gensler, the largest architectural firm globally; and Peter Kindel, a top designer at the esteemed architecture firm SOM. Representatives from major corporations including SAP, Beats by Dre, Universal Beijing Resort, Tom Dixon, General Mills, Beijing Automotive Group, BCG, Rockwell Group, Google Ventures and United Health Group also participated, sharing insights on fostering innovation and executing transformative strategies.

First launched in 2018, the Fortune Brainstorm Design conference was brought to China by MGM and Fortune in 2023 and held in Macau, spotlighting the city’s commitment to merging creativity and design with urban development.

In addition to the main forum at MGM COTAI, this year’s event included a special tour of Macau’s historic Barra District for guests, complete with a session designed to facilitate knowledge exchange among local design professionals, students and industry leaders.
