Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) has actively supported the Association of Rehabilitation of Drug Abusers of Macau (ARTM) on its publication of Recipes with Hope, a culinary initiative designed to assist individuals in rehabilitation on their path to social reintegration. The initiative includes cooking workshops aimed at equipping participants with valuable skills and fostering community inclusion.

GEG organized two hands-on workshops, inviting the association’s clients to learn from professional chefs. Wyman Chin, Executive Chef of the Chinese Kitchen of Galaxy Macau, and Ringo Tang, Chef de Cuisine at CHA BEI, guided participants in preparing Osmanthus Grape Beef Cubes and Chawanmushi with Mushroom and Crab Meat, both featured in Recipes with Hope.

Participants showed great enthusiasm for the workshops, focusing intently on learning new cooking techniques. Many expressed their excitement about sharing their homemade dishes with family members upon full recovery.

ARTM, a local non-profit organization established in 1993, is dedicated to supporting individuals recovering from substance addiction. It provides residential detox and rehabilitation services, while also facilitating reintegration into society through psychological counseling, peer support, education and vocational training.

Upholding its philosophy of “What is taken from the community is to be used for the good of the community,” GEG has been actively fulfilling its corporate social responsibilities by supporting and participating in various local charitable and community events over the years, with its corporate citizenship pledge of “Community at Heart, Empathy in Action” adhered in hopes of contributing to the positive and sustainable development of the Macau community. Through this collaboration, GEG hopes to further highlight Macau’s rich and diverse culinary culture, foster greater societal understanding and acceptance of individuals in rehabilitation and use food as a bridge to connect different community groups, building a more inclusive and compassionate society.
