With the theme of “New Industrialization, High-Quality Development”, the event attracted over 15,000 students from 26 secondary schools and eight higher education institutions in Macau, which is a new record in terms of scale.

The contestants competed fiercely around the theme, which aimed to provide Macau youth with an in-depth understanding of China’s modern industrial development and its strategic significance in advancement of industrialization, as well as to enhance their sense of belonging to the country. After intense competition in the mandatory quiz, scramble quiz and open question-and-answer sessions, Pooi To Middle School, Keang Peng School and the Macau Polytechnic University were crowned champions.

With the support of GEG, representatives from the top three schools will in the summer go to Jiangsu for a four-day visit where they will visit government organizations and cutting-edge technology and innovation enterprises to learn more about intelligent manufacturing in China, broaden their horizons and deepen their understanding of China’s national conditions.
