GEG properties awarded “Responsible Gambling Model Unit”

  • GEG’s Casino Galaxy Macau and Casino StarWorld were honored with the title “Responsible Gambling Model Unit” at the “Responsible Gambling Promotions 2025 Closing Ceremony and Certificate Presentation”.
  • A total of 27 GEG team members completed their responsible gaming certification programs, with one member being named “Outstanding Student of the Year”.

On 17 December, Galaxy Entertainment Group’s (GEG) Casino Galaxy Macau and Casino StarWorld were honored with the title of “Responsible Gambling Model Unit” at the “Responsible Gambling Promotions 2025 Closing Ceremony and Certificate Presentation”, in recognition of GEG’s consistent commitment to promoting and implementing responsible gaming practices.

The event, jointly organized by the Social Welfare Bureau, the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) and the University of Macau’s Institute for the Study of Commercial Gaming, awarded qualifications and trophies to 15 casinos and other gaming establishments that passed the evaluations of the “Working Group on Responsible Gambling”, as well as certificates to 175 individuals.

Following rigorous assessment and evaluation by the Responsible Gambling Implementation Indicators On-Site Assessment Team, GEG’s Casino Galaxy Macau and Casino StarWorld once again earned the distinction of “Responsible Gambling Model Unit”.

In addition, a total of 27 GEG team members from 10 departments successfully completed either the “Certificate in Macau Responsible Gambling Advisor” or the “Certificate in Macau Responsible Gaming Advisor – Train the Trainer” program, obtaining the respective professional qualifications. Among them, one member from GEG’s Responsible Gaming Team was named Outstanding Student of the Year in the Train the Trainer program, further highlighting GEG’s dedication to employee training and professional growth.

Looking ahead, GEG said it would continue to support the Macao SAR Government’s responsible gaming policies and advocacy initiatives. Through diverse and sustained efforts, the company explained that it aims to promote responsible gaming knowledge among team members and community groups, fostering a strong culture of responsible gaming.
