SJM Resorts, S.A., in conjunction with the Macau Union Suppliers Association, co-organized the “SJM SME Institution Food Safety Workshop and Business Matching Session” at Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau.
Supported by the Economic and Technological Development Bureau, the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute, the Municipal Affairs Bureau and the Macao Government Tourism Office, the event attracted over 80 participants from 55 local small and medium- sized enterprises (SMEs).

Ip Sio Man, President of the Macau Union Suppliers Association, said the event marked a new starting point for the cooperation between the Association and SJM. He noted that the professional seminar aimed to help local SMEs better align their operations with the standards of integrated resort operators, thereby enhancing competitiveness.
Monica Ng, Vice President of Supply Chain (Operations & Services) of SJM, said the company has long upheld the principle of supporting and growing alongside local SMEs. The continued increase in SJM’s local SME procurement spending therefore fully demonstrates the mutual trust and strong collaborative relationships built over the years.
The Food Safety Workshop and Business Matching Session not only represents another achievement of SJM SME Institution but also serves as an effective platform for industry exchange and collaboration.

SJM said it looks forward to engaging with more local SMEs with whom partnerships have yet to be established, jointly exploring new opportunities and fostering mutual growth.
At the Food Safety Workshop, SJM’s team outlined the company’s standards, audit mechanisms and supplier requirements in procurement and receiving, helping participants strengthen service quality. In business matching, SJM engaged with 55 local SMEs, about one-third of which were new partners, fostering broader collaboration and supporting local enterprise development.
