Giulio Acconci teaches singing skills, helping Macau’s youth sing their way to the future

Macau’s Youth Association of People recently organized a special development program for young talent, with renowned singer Giulio Acconci acting as a star mentor.

Through public auditions, 18 participants were selected for the program, aimed at establishing a professional training platform for Macau youth. By providing opportunities for artistic exchange with experienced industry veterans, the program encourages young people to courageously pursue their dreams while cultivating musical talent to support Macau’s development as a “City of Performing Arts.”

After completing the training, participants take the stage at a showcase concert to display their achievements.

During the sessions, Acconci shared his own journey of pursuing his dreams, encouraging the participants to bravely take the first step. Through a special combination of vocal exercises, song interpretation and stage performance techniques – combined with live demonstrations and interactive elements – the experienced artist provided personalized guidance tailored to each participant’s unique traits, helping them boost both their singing skills and self-confidence.

Acconci noted that the young singers showed immense passion for their craft, with some already demonstrating a solid foundation and strong potential for development. He emphasized that, whether someone has already embarked on a musical path or has just begun to harbor a dream, simply being willing to take that first step is a commendable beginning.

One enthusiastic participant expressed their gratitude for Acconci’s patient guidance and valuable insights, noting that the training helped reveal subtle details in singing, proving incredibly rewarding, while promising to continue to hone their skills on the stage in the future.
