MGM team members enhance team capability with Greater Bay Area Innovation Discovery Journey

  • Two-day trip to Shenzhen with 22 management team members explores benchmark companies and innovative projects.
  • Team members visited and exchanged with Huawei, Extreme Vision Technology and UBTECH Robotics.

MGM is actively advancing its team members’ knowledge and regional connections, with the recent “MGM Greater Bay Area Leadership Innovation Discovery Journey” aligning with the Macao SAR Government’s strategy of appropriate economic diversification.

During a two-day trip to Shenzhen, 22 management team members from key departments (including Human Resources and Digital & Technology Solutions focused on technology and cultural tourism innovation) visited benchmark companies and innovative projects in the city.

The first day saw the team visit Huawei’s Shenzhen Headquarters and flagship store, learning about the company’s operations, strategies and talent development systems. The MGM team also got to see first-hand the real-world applications of new tech such as 6G and dual-band MetaAAU. After the visit, MGM representatives discussed with Huawei experts on the latest AI applications and the role of digital transformation in human resources management, organizational effectiveness and talent curation.

The second day comprised a visit to Extreme Vision Technology and UBTECH Robotics, to explore machine vision, AI and robotics’ practical applications in operational settings, evaluating their potential in monitoring, safety and intelligent manufacturing.

A special visit was also made to the Shenzhen Bay Culture Park; to explore how public spaces integrate with cultural elements through urban planning, architectural design and cultural and creative industries.

Godfrey Ip, HR Technology Solutions Manager of MGM, praised the insights and practical knowledge gained from the trip, noting, “MGM has been providing diverse training platforms and resources for our continuous learning, enabling us to keep pace with industry developments while encouraging ongoing innovation and self-improvement.”
