GEG Supports the “GEG National Education Cup” For 18 Years, Advancing National Education

  • The “GEG Macau Cup – 18th Youth National Education Competition” attracted more than 16,000 youth from 36 schools in Macau.

Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) is committed to fulfilling its corporate social responsibility and continues to support national education for Macau youth through its “National Education Series” and meaningful activities. Through these efforts, GEG has built a platform for learning and exchange, enabling Macau youth to acquire knowledge across various avenues and deepen their understanding of national conditions, while contributing to the inheritance of Chinese culture and the cultivation of patriotism.

One shining example is this year’s “GEG Macau Cup – 18th Youth National Education Competition,” which attracted more than 16,000 youth from 36 schools in Macau, setting a new record for participation. Since the competition began, cumulative participation has exceeded 160,000, making it an important platform for national education among Macau youth.

GEG actively supports diverse national education activities, helping Macau youth broaden their horizons and deepen their understanding of the nation.

In addition to sponsoring the competition, GEG actively supports the organization of various related activities. This year it specially arranged for representatives of participating teachers and students to attend the “Sharing Session on the Spirit of the NPC and CPPCC — GEG National Education Series,” helping teachers and students deepen their understanding of the spirit of the National People’s Congress (NPC) and Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) meetings. Participating students were also invited to participate in the “Galaxy Entertainment Group Presents: ‘Dear You’ Youth Screening & Cast Sharing Session,” followed by exchanges with the creative team.

Beijing Visit Activities Deepen Understanding of National Conditions

To further extend the educational outcomes of the competition, the organizer this year brought nearly 30 award-winning teacher and student representatives to Beijing for a five-day visit and exchange activity. The visit aligned with the “Celebration of the 105th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China” and the “160th Anniversary of the Birth of Dr. Sun Yat-sen,” aiming to guide youth to deeply understand the country’s history and the developmental context of the times.

Award-winning teacher and student representatives to Beijing for a five-day visit

GEG Director Philip Cheng and President of the National Conditions Education (Macau) Association Jack Wang served as the Honorary Leader and Leader of the Beijing visit activity, respectively. They led the delegation to visit multiple institutions, patriotic education bases, and representative cultural landmarks. The students further participated in thematic lectures and visited higher education institutions, closely experiencing the country’s rich cultural heritage, inspiring their own future development directions and better integration into the overall national development.

Before the visit, Philip Cheng and Jack Wang led representatives of the delegation on a visit to the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR and received high praise from Deputy Director Shi Shuzheng of the Education and Youth Department. The official praised the fruitful achievements of the “GEG National Education Cup” over the years in promoting national education among youth and encouraged the visiting teachers and students to seize this learning opportunity to further deepen their understanding of national conditions through exchanges. Philip Cheng thanked the Liaison Office for its years of support.

The “GEG Macau Cup – Youth National Education Competition” has built a platform for Macau youth to deeply understand Chinese culture and enhance their knowledge of national conditions. Through a series of exchange and learning activities, it also inspires patriotism and national identity, laying a solid foundation for them to become talents for national construction in the new era.
